Nate has over 15 years of experience as a financial service professional and a background in investments, lending, insurance, and banking. Prior to joining BayCoast Financial Services early in 2012, he had most recently managed the New Bedford Loan Center at St. Anne’s Credit Union. Prior to that, he was a senior account executive at HSBC Bank Corporation where he ranked as one of the top employees in the country from 2003 to 2005. In his unique role as both a Financial Advisor & Loan Officer, Nate has the ability to look at both sides of the balance sheet to create personalized financial solutions for his clients. Above all, he strongly believes there are no “one-size-fits-all” solutions when it comes to investing or planning for the future. Nate is responsible for investment & retirement planning as well as residential lending in the greater New Bedford area.
Mr. Rego attended the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth and completed an extensive investment training program at Morgan Stanley Smith Barney. He is a Registered General Securities Representative, Investment Advisor Representative, (Series 7, Series 66, and Series 31) and holds both Life & Health insurance licenses in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Florida.
Nate lives in Dartmouth, Massachusetts with his wife and son. He is on the Board of Directors at Dartmouth Natural Resources Trust, a non-profit land trust that is responsible for the protection & preservation of over 5000 acres in the town of Dartmouth. In addition, he is a regular participant in the “Credit for Life” interactive financial literacy program for local area high school students, stressing the importance of saving early and often.
